The Washington Capitals have traded for Ottawa Senators defenseman Jakob Chychrun, in exchange for defenseman Nick Jensen and a 2026 third round pick:
Drafted in 2016, the 26-year-old lefty is coming off of a 41-point season for the Sens, his 5th on a 6-year contract that expires after the 2024-25 season.
The Capitals traded for Nick Jensen at the 2019 Trade Deadline, who would go on to become a mainstay on the blueline as he logged 372 games for the Caps across six seasons.
